As long as it is turned on, the KIP transmits, in parallel and in all circumstances, via radio (LoRa and Sigfox) and via other wireless connectivity technologies (to communicate with your phone). Here are the transmission rates on these different networks: Transmission via LoRa radio: every 15 or 40 seconds, depending on the movement speed of the beacon Transmission via Sigfox radio: every 2.5 minutes Transmission via GSM (with your phone’s wireless connection & the KIP app): every 20 seconds
